Policies and Procedures
Confidentiality

The strictest levels of confidentially will be maintained unless release is required by law.

Better Life Coaching will be clear to clients about the conditions under which confidentiality will not be maintained (e.g. illegal activity, danger to self or others etc.)
Client Records

Better Life Coaching will hold written client records.

Client records will be maintained, stored and disposed of in a manner which promotes confidentiality, security and privacy and complies with applicable laws.
Changes to Appointments and Cancellations

Clients are politely requested to give at least 24 hours notice to change or cancel their appointment to avoid any cancellation charge.
Written Parental permission

For clients under the age of 18, written permission will be gained from the person/s with parental responsibility for the child or young person.

The written permission will grant consent for Karen to work with the child/young person in the form they feel is most effective.

The permission will allow Karen to work with the child/young person without the person/s with parental responsibility being present in the room.

Written parental permission may be gained from one person with parental responsibility or both, depending on the situation at that time and the issues that support is being sought for.

Written parental permission will be gained before any work is commenced.

A copy of the written parental permission will be kept in the child’s/young person’s file which is held by Better Life Coaching.
DBS, Insurance & Professional Membership

Karen will hold an enhanced DBS certificate

Karen will hold relevant professional insurance

Karen will hold membership to relevant professional bodies
Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting and safeguarding your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection act 1998). This policy sets out how we will treat your personal information and relates to online data only.
